Softball Recap: Tatum Takes a Loss

Tatum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Gilmer Buckeyes, falling 15-1. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Tatum's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Gilmer, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2-2.

Tatum wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-0 victory against Sabine on the 3rd. As for Gilmer, they will challenge Carthage at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Carthage: 3.7, Gilmer: 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
