Springfield piles up the points against Bloomington

The Springfield Senators scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 68-31 win over Bloomington on the road. That 68-31 margin sets a new team best for Springfield this season.
Despite the defeat, Bloomington saw an underclassman step up: Brock Holtz scored 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him.
Springfield's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Bloomington, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springfield will take on Rantoul at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rantoul is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for Bloomington, they will head out on the road to face off against Normal Community at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Normal Community is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
