Havelock is 8-2 against Northside - Jacksonville since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Havelock Rams will head out to challenge the Northside - Jacksonville Monarchs at 6:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Havelock and six for Northside - Jacksonville.

Havelock is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against South Central on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Havelock had to suffer through a 61-24 loss at the hands of South Central. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 388th, while the Falcons are ranked 55th).

Meanwhile, Northside - Jacksonville ended up a good deal behind New Bern on Tuesday and lost 51-34.

Havelock will have to contain Madyson Wills as she made an impact in Northside - Jacksonville's last game. She dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. That was a full 35.3% of Northside - Jacksonville's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Even though they lost, Northside - Jacksonville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Havelock's record is now 4-13. As for Northside - Jacksonville, their record is now 6-9.

Everything went Havelock's way against Northside - Jacksonville in their previous matchup back in January, as Havelock made off with a 49-24 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Havelock since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
