Volleyball Recap: Los Banos Comes Up Short

Los Banos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Atwater Falcons, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-20, 25-11.

Atwater got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaac Avila Elizalde out in front who had seven digs and four aces. Avila Elizalde has been hot, having also posted 15 or more assists the last six times he's played. Damien Pulido was another key player, getting 13 digs and two aces.

Los Banos' loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Atwater, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-10 record.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Los Banos is set to square off against their familiar foe Merced at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Atwater will take on rival Buhach Colony at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
