Recap: Marcus vs. Lewisville
The Marcus Marauders can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They skirted past Lewisville 4-3. The victory was just what Marcus needed coming off of a 3-0 defeat in their prior match.
They hit Lewisville with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Cale Glover (2),
Owen Gall, and
Aidan Henle.
Marcus' win bumped their record up to 11-6-1. As for Lewisville, they dropped their record down to 2-14-2 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Marcus will be playing at home against Plano at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Plano will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 141st, while Marcus is ranked 21st). As for Lewisville, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hebron at 7:30 p.m. on March 19th.
