Softball Recap: Staples-Motley Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Staples-Motley's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Rebels on Thursday. If the Cardinals were looking for revenge after losing 17-0 to the Rebels when the teams met back in April of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Staples-Motley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rachel Kossan, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Staples-Motley's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-4. As for Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1.

Coincidentally, Staples-Motley and Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton will both be playing Wadena-Deer Creek the next time they take the field. The Cardinals will host the Wolverines at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Rebels will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
