Basketball Recap: Douglass Takes a Loss

Douglass lost against Kingman back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Douglass Bulldogs took a 56-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kingman Eagles.

Despite the loss, Douglass still got an impressive performance from Bronsyn Knisley, who went 6 of 8 en route to 16 points. Thanks to that strong game, Knisley now owns an excellent 48.4% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Kemper Cox, who posted ten points and four steals.

It was another big night for Ben Bradshaw, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 boards for Kingman. The dominant performance also gave Bradshaw a new career-high in steals (seven). Dawson Wood was another key player, putting up 12 points and five rebounds.

Douglass' loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Kingman, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-10.

Douglass has already played their next matchup, a 59-26 defeat against Trinity Academy on the 7th. As for Kingman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 53-27 loss against Conway Springs on the 4th.
