Baseball Game Preview: Western Sierra Collegiate Academy Wolves vs. Foresthill Wildfires

For the second straight game, Western Sierra Collegiate Academy will face off against Foresthill. Western Sierra Collegiate Academy will host Foresthill at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Western Sierra Collegiate Academy knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Foresthill likes a good challenge.

Western Sierra Collegiate Academy hadn't beaten Foresthill on the road since April 13, 2023 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. Western Sierra Collegiate Academy walked away with a 10-5 win over Foresthill.

For Foresthill's part, Hunter Byrum was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Bryce Dowling was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Western Sierra Collegiate Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Foresthill and nudges their season record down to 3-5.
