Soccer Recap: Perquimans Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pasquotank County on Monday, Perquimans came back down to earth. The Pirates came up short against the Currituck County Knights on Friday, falling 5-0. The defeat continues a trend for Perquimans in their meetings with Currituck County: they've now lost three in a row.

Perquimans' loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Perquimans will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech at 4:30 p.m. on the 25th. As for Currituck County, they have already played their next match, a 5-1 win against Holmes on the 16th.
