Basketball Recap: Weehawken Takes a Loss

On Tuesday, the Weehawken Indians were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 60-55 to the Waldwick Warriors. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Indians came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Warriors are ranked 276th).

Weehawken's loss dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Waldwick, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Weehawken will challenge Secaucus on February 26th. Weehawken has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 179 points over their last three contests. As for Waldwick, they will square off against Hawthorne on February 26th.
