Baseball Recap: Columbia Takes a Loss

Columbia managed to slip by Boise the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Columbia came up short against Boise on Tuesday, falling 18-4. The match marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Columbia saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Finley Stern, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. Those three hits gave Stern a new career-high. Kaden Hanan also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Columbia's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3. As for Boise, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Coincidentally, Columbia and Boise will both be playing Blackfoot the next time they take the field. Columbia will head out to face Blackfoot at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, while Boise will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
