Basketball Recap: Braham Comes Up Short

If Braham was feeling good fresh off their 109-36 takedown of North Lakes Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Braham Bombers might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Cherry Tigers an easy 96-74 win. The loss put an end to the Bombers' undefeated start to the season.

Despite the loss, Braham still got an impressive performance from Tyler Eklund, who posted 33 points along with eight assists and six steals. Eklund's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Tanner Doble was another key player, going 6 for 12 on his way to 15 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Braham fell to 6-1. As for Cherry, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Braham and Barnum will round out the year against one another at at 2:30 p.m. on December 28th. Braham knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Barnum likes a good challenge. As for Cherry, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 82-51 win against Moose Lake/Willow River on the 20th.
