Softball Recap: Horizon Huskies vs. Pinnacle Pioneers
Horizon lost against Pinnacle back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Horizon Huskies wound up on the wrong side of a tough 20-1 walloping at the hands of the Pinnacle Pioneers. Horizon has not had much luck with Pinnacle recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Horizon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eva Issitt, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Issitt has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played.
On Pinnacle's side, they got a massive performance out of Torynn Slaughter, who went 3-for-4 with a home run, five RBI, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Sienna Caro, who went 2-for-3 with a home run, three runs, and three RBI.
Horizon's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Pinnacle, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Horizon will take on Chaparral at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pinnacle, they will be playing in front of their home fans against O'Connor at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
