The Glenn Hills Spartans will be playing at home against the Laney Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 18 consecutive losses for Glenn Hills and three for Laney.
Glenn Hills suffered their biggest defeat since December 9, 2023 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 65-35 defeat at the hands of Washington County. While losing is never fun, Glenn Hills can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 487th, while Washington County is ranked 228th).
Meanwhile, Laney was beaten by Butler 68-40 on Saturday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Laney in their matchups with Butler: they've now lost seven in a row.
Glenn Hills' defeat was their 12th straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-15. As for Laney, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.
Glenn Hills was dealt a bruising 75-23 loss at the hands of Laney in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Glenn Hills was down 44-12.
