Baseball Recap: Marist Takes Down Ranked Henley

Marist faced Henley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Spartans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Hornets. The win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won five in a row.

Marist pushed their record up to 20-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Henley, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-3-1.
