Volleyball Recap: McFarland Takes a Loss

McFarland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kettle Moraine Lutheran Chargers.

Rya Schreiber paced McFarland's offense, picking up eight kills. Schreiber got some help from Callie Spanos and her 12 assists. Spanos also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jordyn Trott-Czebotar, racking up two apiece.

McFarland's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.

McFarland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Manitowoc Lincoln on the 20th. As for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Kettle Moraine on the 20th.
