Baseball Recap: Sabino Takes a Loss

Sabino was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 6-1 to the Benjamin Franklin Chargers. The Sabercats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2019.

Sabino's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Benjamin Franklin, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sabino will host Safford at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sabino's pitchers better be ready for this one: Safford has averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Benjamin Franklin, they will welcome ALA - Ironwood at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
