 Big Foot fought the good fight in their extra-innings  match against Beloit Memorial  on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Beloit Memorial Purple Knights by a score of  11-9. Big Foot has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Kate Hummel was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's  played.  Natalie Klamm was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-5.
 On Beloit Memorial's side, they got a  massive  performance out of  Allie Gustafson, who  went 3-for-5 with a  home run and four  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Abigail Middleton, who  got on base  in four of her five plate appearances with three  runs, a  triple,  and a  double.
 Big Foot's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Beloit Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
 Big Foot will stay at home for another  game and welcome Delavan-Darien at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Big Foot is facing Delavan-Darien at the right time seeing as Delavan-Darien is stuck on  an  eight-game losing streak. As for Beloit Memorial, they will head out on the road to  take on  Elkhorn at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Beloit Memorial will also cruise into their next  contest with the timing on their side: Elkhorn will have lost four straight heading into Tuesday's  matchup.
