After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chesterfield, Central was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Cheraw Braves. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Central wouldn't go down easily and took Cheraw into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-20, 23-25, 25-27, 15-10.

Jordyn Griffin was a one-man wrecking crew for Central as she had 17 digs and four aces. Griffin is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 15 or more in the last five games she's played.

Central was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 23 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Cheraw saw an underclassman step up: Londyn Driggers had 19 digs and two aces. Those two aces gave Driggers a new career-high.
