Baseball Game Preview: Bellingham Blackhawks vs. Millis Mohawks

Bellingham has gone 9-1 against Millis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Blackhawks will welcome the Mohawks at 4:00 p.m. Bellingham has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 4.

On Monday, Bellingham came up short against Medway and fell 4-1.

Payton Young was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March.

At the plate, Bellingham saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nicholas Fantini, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.

Westwood hit Millis with a seven-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mohawks came up short against the Wolverines, falling 11-1. The Mohawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bellingham's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Millis, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.
