Baseball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson couldn't beat Sioux City North on Thursday even though they stacked six runs on them in the third inning. The Yellowjackets lost 16-7 to the Stars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Stars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Thursday.

Jefferson's loss was their 22nd straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Sioux City North, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Coming up, Jefferson will take on Sioux City West at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets are facing the Wolverines at the right time seeing as the Wolverines are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Sioux City North, they have already played their next game, a 7-5 win against North Polk on the 6th.
