Lexington had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They walked away with a 57-46 victory over the East Davidson Golden Eagles. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 416th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lexington got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lily Ervin out in front who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 15 boards. The dominant performance gave Ervin a new career-high in rebounds. Makayla Bobo was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 14 points along with five boards and four steals.

Lexington's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points over those games. As for East Davidson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-17.

Lexington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-31 win against Salisbury on the 18th. East Davidson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
