Football Recap: Cleburne County Comes Up Short

Cleburne County and Saint James pushed the score to 55-35 the last time they played Saint James, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Tigers took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Although Cleburne County took the loss, they still got scores from LYRIC WARE and JAYLON BAKER.

This is the second loss in a row for Cleburne County and nudges their season record down to 2-5. As for Saint James, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Cleburne County will face off against rival Munford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Saint James is set to challenge their familiar foe Tallassee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
