Football Recap: Central Columbia Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Central Columbia extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Friday, dropping them down to 0-6. They took a blow against the Montoursville Warriors, falling 52-0. While losing is never fun, the Bluejays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 526th, while the Warriors are ranked 204th).

Josiah Hosler threw for 34 yards on six of 11 attempts.

As for Montoursville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 27 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Christian Banks, who rushed for 118 yards and four scores on only eight carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in September of 2024. Another back making a difference was Hayden Harvey, who rushed for 95 yards and one TD on only six carries.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Central Columbia will challenge Milton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bluejays will be up against the Black Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Montoursville, they are taking a road trip to take on Central Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
