Russellville piles up the points against Brewer

The Russellville Golden Tigers entered their tilt with the Brewer Patriots with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Russellville claimed a resounding 99-61 victory over Brewer at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-24.

When it comes to explaining why Brewer lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Cason Oden. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds. Matthew Frazier was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.

Russellville's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 86.7 points per game. As for Brewer, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Russellville will head out on the road to face off against Jasper at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Brewer, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against West Point at 8:00 p.m. West Point presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Brewer in Alabama (West Point is ranked 72nd, while Brewer is ranked 286th).
