Softball Game Preview: North Stanly Comets vs. Forbush Falcons

The North Stanly Comets will face off against the Forbush Falcons on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (North Stanly 2.5, Forbush 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

North Stanly is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Surry Central with a sharp 13-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Forbush, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They never let Pine Lake Prep get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Tuesday.

Forbush has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for North Stanly, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-6.
