Florence hadn't done well against Brandon recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Florence had just enough and edged out Brandon 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since April 27, 2024.

Florence's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Brandon, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-2.

Northwest Rankin will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Brandon surely won't give up without a fight.
