Baseball Game Preview: King's Academy Lions vs. Bearden Bulldogs

The King's Academy Lions will venture away from home to challenge the Bearden Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, King's Academy had just enough and edged out West Ridge 7-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

King's Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Benjomar Flanegin, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI. Another was Parker Ferree, who scored a run and stole Three bases.

Meanwhile, Bearden put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 6-1 win over Loudon. Six seems to be a good number for the Bulldogs as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Bearden's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for King's Academy, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

King's Academy suffered a grim 17-6 defeat to Bearden in their previous meeting back in May of 2022. Can King's Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
