Basketball Recap: Campo Verde Takes a Loss

Campo Verde was the 68-52 winner over Arizona College Prep when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Campo Verde Coyotes fell to the Arizona College Prep Knights 47-43. The Coyotes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Arizona College Prep had a senior duo take command as Aiden Riesen went 5-for-12 en route to 15 points and six boards and Justice Moore posted nine points and six rebounds. That's the most boards Riesen has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Zach Cutler, who had five points and five rebounds.

Campo Verde's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Arizona College Prep, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-17.

Campo Verde wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 60-57 victory against Chaparral on the 13th. As for Arizona College Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-59 win against Desert Mountain on the 13th.
