Livermore barely beat Carondelet the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cowboys were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Cougars on Tuesday. The Cowboys haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
Kaci Norton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits.
At the plate, Livermore got a massive performance out of Gianna Willes, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI Willes has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Laine Macosky, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Livermore always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carondelet only posted an OBP of .259.
Livermore's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-8. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Carondelet, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 13-12 record.
As of now, neither Livermore nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
