Baseball Game Preview: Holmes Huskies vs. Harlan Hawks

Holmes is 0-8 against Harlan since March of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. Holmes will host Harlan at 4:45 p.m. Holmes has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Holmes lost 13-3 to Sotomayor on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Huskies have lost by exactly ten runs.

Holmes saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Raymundo Vasquez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. Those two hits gave Vasquez a new career-high. Nicolas Greco also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Harlan). They blew past Marshall 15-5 on Friday. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

This is the second loss in a row for Holmes and nudges their season record down to 2-13. As for Harlan, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.
