While Yucaipa put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Foothill. The Thunderbirds sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over the Knights. The win was nothing new for the Thunderbirds as they're now sitting on seven straight.

The result came thanks to Zach Scribner's shutout, as he gave up just three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Yucaipa saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Heaton, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Yucaipa's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Foothill, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 12-4 record.

Yucaipa didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 defeat against Fullerton on the 31st. As for Foothill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Woodbridge on the 31st.
