            Basketball Recap: Calhan Bulldogs vs. Crowley County Chargers        
        
		
        
        
            Calhan won the last time they faced Crowley County, and  Fallyn Mallette did her part to make sure it happened again. The Calhan Bulldogs secured  a  44-40 W over the Crowley County Chargers on Saturday which was due in part to  Mallette, who  posted six  points and seven  steals. She has become a key player for Calhan: the team is 4-1 when she posts  at  least  five  steals, but 6-7 otherwise.

 Another player making a difference was  Kylee Barnes, who  earned two points along with eight  assists and five  steals. The dominant performance gave  her a new career-high in  assists.
 Crowley County lost  despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was   Alexis Rusher, who  scored 12  points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Emalee Ross, who  put up ten points.
Calhan has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record  this season. Crowley County's loss dropped their record down to 9-9.
 Calhan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  56-6  victory against The Colorado Springs School on the 18th. As for Crowley County, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  contest,  a  66-32  defeat against Thomas MacLaren School on the 21st.
