Softball Recap: Bishop Guilfoyle Takes a Loss

Bishop Guilfoyle had lost nine straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 1-13 to make it ten. They came up short against the Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mountaineers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 back in March.

As for Philipsburg-Osceola, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6. The result was nothing new for the Mountaineers, who have now won seven matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

For Philipsburg-Osceola's part, Addy Jarrett was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Jarrett has posted since back in March. Mckenna Thorp also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Bishop Guilfoyle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Philipsburg-Osceola, they will square off against Central Cambria at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
