Paxton's game on Friday was all tied up 13-13 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They skirted past the Sandhills Valley Mavericks 34-31. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Mavericks recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Paxton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tanner Hebblethwaite, who posted nine points and six boards. Jasper Brewster was another key player, putting up two points and nine rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Sandhills Valley lost, don't look at Kyle Kramer. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards. Kramer has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last 25 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Leyton Connell, who had seven points and three steals.

Paxton's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Sandhills Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5.
