El Camino is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They won by a set and slipped past Lincoln 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since September 27th.
El Camino wouldn't go down easily and took Lincoln into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-14, 17-25, 19-25, 15-11.

Makayla Boone had an outrageously good game as she had 24 digs and two assists. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September.
El Camino was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Grossmont beat Canyon Crest Academy 3-1 on Friday.
Grossmont had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-23.
El Camino better focus on containing Jacqueline Villalobos and Kayla Kenis as the pair were huge in Grossmont's win. Villalobos had six aces and four digs, while Kenis had six digs and two aces. Kenis has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.
El Camino's victory bumped their record up to 29-11. As for Grossmont, their win bumped their record up to 23-10.
El Camino came out on top in a nail-biter against Grossmont in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Foothillers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
