Basketball Game Preview: Hillgrove Hawks vs. Harrison Hoyas

The Hillgrove Hawks are taking a road trip to challenge the Harrison Hoyas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hillgrove will be strutting in after a victory while Harrison will be coming in after a loss.

On Friday, Hillgrove didn't have too much breathing room in their match against McEachern, but they still walked away with a 47-41 win. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Indians are ranked 174th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Harrison has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 43-36 to Campbell on Friday.

Hillgrove is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Harrison, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.

Hillgrove took their victory against Harrison in their previous matchup on January 9th by a conclusive 43-22. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hillgrove since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
