Basketball Recap: Hyde Park Comes Up Short

Hyde Park lost against Simeon back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hyde Park Thunderbirds took a 56-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Simeon Wolverines. While losing is never fun, the Thunderbirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Wolverines are ranked 25th).

Hyde Park's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Simeon, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

Hyde Park has already played their next contest (against Lindblom), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Simeon has also has no score uploaded for their next matchup, this one against Quincy Notre Dame.
