The Centennial Patriots will face off against the Orofino Maniacs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Centennial is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.

Centennial is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Mountain View, who was ranked seventh at the time (Centennial was ranked 25th). The Patriots lost 13-3 to the Mavericks on Friday. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bailey Shankland ?26 was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. Josie Moorhouse was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Orofino unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 19-15 hit to the loss column at the hands of Grangeville.

Rilee Diffin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last four times she's played. Sierra Tondevold also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Orofino's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Saturday. Centennial hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like Orofino struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1.1 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.

Centennial beat Orofino 7-2 in their previous meeting back in March of 2016. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Maniacs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
