Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Covington). Everything went their way against the Fayette Academy Vikings on Thursday as they made off with a 9-0 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Covington considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

They hit Fayette Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jakayla Griggs (4), Brooklyn Luttrell (4), and Erika Perez.

Covington's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Fayette Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Covington will face off against Jackson North Side at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Jackson North Side will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Covington surely won't give up without a fight. Fayette Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
