Baseball Game Preview: Tunkhannock Tigers vs. Montrose Meteors

Tunkhannock is on a five-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Montrose a six-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Tunkhannock Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Montrose Meteors at 4:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Tunkhannock fell victim to Wyalusing Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of 1-0.

Brandon Kozlansky spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 17 Ks. Those 17 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Tunkhannock saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Dominick, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Montrose suffered their biggest defeat since April 8, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Dunmore, falling 16-1.
