Softball Recap: L'Anse Creuse North Takes a Loss

L'Anse Creuse North managed to slip by Grosse Pointe North the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Crusaders lost 16-1 to the Norsemen on Saturday. The Crusaders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Norsemen earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

L'Anse Creuse North saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashlee Lane, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Charley Paternoster also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

L'Anse Creuse North now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Grosse Pointe North, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11.

Looking ahead, L'Anse Creuse North will square off against Roseville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Grosse Pointe North, they will venture away from home to take on Utica Ford at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
