Recap: J.R. Tucker Tigers vs. Hermitage Panthers
The J.R. Tucker Tigers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Hermitage, falling 42-14. While losing is never fun, J.R. Tucker can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 245th, while Hermitage is ranked 61st).
Although J.R. Tucker took the loss, they still got scores from Damian Graham and Calvin Birch.
J.R. Tucker's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-8. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-0 Thomas Jefferson and 8-2 Glen Allen (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 77.5% over those games). As for Hermitage, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
J.R. Tucker does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hermitage will look to defend their home field on Friday against Freeman at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Freeman's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three games.
