Basketball Recap: Winooski's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Winooski had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Mt. Abraham Eagles as they made off with a 63-38 victory. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 20 points or more this season.

Winooski has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Mt. Abraham, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

When Winooski and Mt. Abraham next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Winooski will challenge Danville and their five-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Similarly, Mt. Abraham will try to stop Vergennes' three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
