Basketball Recap: Bethany Christian Beats Fellowship Baptist Academy for Their 13th Straight Victory

Bethany Christian had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.1 points) and they went ahead and made it 13 on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Fellowship Baptist Academy Falcons by a score of 70-60.

Nathaniel Byers was his usual excellent self, going 12-for-22 en route to 36 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luca Halalau, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten assists.

Logan McAlvey and Hudson McAlvey certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Logan dropped a double-double with 26 points and ten boards, while Hudson went 5-for-8 to rack up 11 points along with eight assists and three steals. The dominant performance gave Logan a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Lucas Thompson, who posted eight points and seven rebounds.

Bethany Christian's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points over those games. As for Fellowship Baptist Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.
