            Baseball Recap: Hopewell Valley Central Bulldogs vs. Notre Dame Irish        
        
		
        
        
            Hopewell Valley Central blew Notre Dame out of the water the last time the pair played, but  on Thursday Notre Dame got their revenge. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Irish by a score of  3-1. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Irish apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in April of 2024.
 Hopewell Valley Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Tyler Yadamiec, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2. That  stolen base was  Yadamiec's first of the season.
Hopewell Valley Central has  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four games. That lines up perfectly with their 1-4-1 record  this season. As for Notre Dame, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hopewell Valley Central will challenge Colts Neck at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their  seventh straight  victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Notre Dame, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Windsor-Plainsboro North  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
