Baseball Recap: Miami Takes a Loss

Miami lost against Morenci back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Vandals came up short against the Wildcats, falling 7-1. The Vandals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Miami saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Damion Romero, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Ethan Guthrey also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Miami's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Morenci, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-13 record this season.

Miami has already played their next contest, a 9-5 loss against Alchesay on the 14th. As for Morenci, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-1 win against Willcox on the 14th.
