Volleyball Recap: Phelps Takes a Loss

Phelps was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pikeville Panthers. The Hornets were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in August of 2019.

Phelps' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Pikeville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Coming up, Phelps will be taking part in a tournament against Shelby Valley at 9:30 a.m. on September 6. As for Pikeville, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Pike County Central at 6:00 p.m. on September 4.
