Recap: Angleton Wildcats vs. Magnolia West Mustangs
After flying high against the Friendswood Mustangs last Friday, The Angleton Wildcats came back down to earth. Angleton fell just short of Magnolia West by a score of 10-7. The matchup was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but Angleton couldn't answer the 3 points Magnolia West scored afterwards.
When it comes to explaining why Angleton lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Elijah Simmons. Despite the final result, he rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown. Simmons' longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards.
Among those leading the charge was Terry Daniels, who rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown.
Angleton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Magnolia West, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
Angleton will head out on the road to face off against Fort Bend Kempner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Magnolia West, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Friendswood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
