Recap: Kaufman Lions vs. Caddo Mills Foxes
The Kaufman Lions won the last time they faced the Caddo Mills Foxes, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Kaufman blew past Caddo Mills 53-17 on the road. Given Kaufman's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 383rd, while Caddo Mills is ranked 933rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kaufman was led to victory by Aubre Prox and Kiersten Thomas. Prox scored 16 points along with seven rebounds, while Thomas dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Thomas continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillie Reven, who scored four points along with 12 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Kaufman and bumps their season record up to 16-11. As for Caddo Mills, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.
Kaufman will be playing at home against Farmersville at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Farmersville is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Caddo Mills, they will take on Community at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
